Admissions Steps 2024/2025

  • Fill in the online application
  • You will receive an email with a username and a password to login to the apply online portal:
  • Payment: pay online the application fees (LE 1600) Through Visa Card / Master Card / Meeza Card or Fawry Service or at the University within 48 hours, please do not exceed the 48 hours to ensure the availability of your online data. (You will receive an electronic receipt on your email)
  • Admissions test: student must pass the admissions test to be initially accepted at FUE. Applicant will receive the admissions test result by SMS and email.
  • Applicant must undergo both English and Computer skills placement tests to find out which is the exact course level to join. Placement tests fees (LE 1000)
    • The English course is divided into five levels. Fees per level is LE 3200 and for the final level is LE 3700. Applicant with IELTS test score of 6.5, with score 6 in each section, is exempted from the English placement test
    • The computer course is divided into two levels. Fees per level is LE 3200.

Future University in Egypt welcomes applications for undergraduate degrees for both the Fall and Spring Semesters. Students are eligible to apply through any of the following methods:

Acceptance Criteria

The University accepts students holding the following certificates :

  • The Egyptian General Secondary Certificate of Education (Thanawiya Amma) (Arts, Math or Sciences) and the Thanawiya Amma from other Arab countries.
  • The American High School Diploma.
  • The French Secondary School Certificate (Baccalauréat de L’Enseignement Secondaire).
  • The German Secondary School Certificate (Abitur).
  • The British Secondary School Certificates (IGCSE, GCSE, ASL or AL.)
  • The International Baccalaureate.
  • Canadian High School Diploma.
  • Nile Certificate
  • Nigerian Secondary Certificate

Application Requirements

The University's admission requirements comply fully with the regulations established by the Egyptian Council of Private Universities (CPU). Applicants must have attained the Egyptian Secondary School General Certificate (Thanawiya Amma) or approved equivalent certificates (see above).

Cambridge English Placement Test

All new students applying for admission to the University must sit for the Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT). Students will be placed in an English language course according to their scores. Students should be aware that the English Placement Test is a provisional assessment. Click here for more details.

Requirements for Transfer Students

Transfer from other universities
  • Transfer students must fulfill the University's admissions requirements, including having attained the High School Certificate with a score complying with the regulations of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Private Universities for the year during which the certificate was obtained.
  • Students must submit official transcripts of completed courses taken at an accredited university, with detailed course descriptions and verification of the credit hours and grades achieved.
  • Upon final acceptance at the University, students will be requested to submit a letter from their previous university confirming their withdrawal from that university.
  • Courses that are to be transferred must be substantially the same in both content and quality to the Future University's courses, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education.
Transferring from one Faculty to Another
  • Transfer from any FUE faculty to another is available only within the first two weeks of the semester during the Drop/Add period.
  • Students who wish to transfer from one faculty to another must obtain the prior approval of both their dean and their academic advisor. The student’s score should be compatible with the score required by the faculty he or she wishes to join.
Classification of Students

A student who has earned fewer than thirty credit hours of faculty credit is classified as a freshman. A student who has earned thirty or more credit hours is classified as a sophomore.

Academic Transcripts

An official transcript of university credits, bearing the university seal and the signature of the President of the University, is a record of the student’s academic achievement. A student may obtain copies of his or her transcript by written, faxed, or personal request to the Admissions Office at Future University’s campus. The request must include the full legal name, the dates of attendance, and the nationality of the student, before an official transcript will be released.

Academic Advising

Each faculty has its own advisory system to provide students with individualized, personal, support throughout their University career. Each student will be provided with a primary academic advisor whose responsibilities include the following:

  • Information needed to plan the chosen program of study.
  • Providing assistance in the selection and registration of appropriate courses, including pre-requisites.
  • Monitoring the academic progress of students.
  • Providing advice on academic and career choices.
  • Marketing referrals to other specialized resources (e. g. special tutoring, psychological and health services, financial aid, etc.)

Both advisors and advisees share responsibilities in order for the advising relationship to succeed. Advisers shall encourage advisees to become engaged in their education, to meet their educational goals, and to develop good learning habits. Advisees should routinely contact their advisors each semester and must assume ultimate responsibility for course scheduling, program planning, and the successful completion of graduation requirements.

English Language Entry Requirements 2016 onwards

To follow our programs successfully and to prepare for the world of work, you must have a good command of English and be able to apply this in an academic and work environment. Therefore, you are required to provide a valid and an internationally recognized certificate as proof of your competence in English before starting your studies or by the time you graduate from FUE.

English Language Courses

The English Language Center (ELC) of FUE has over 10 years of experience running English language courses to support and improve students’ English Language proficiency.

Students admitted to the university will go through the following steps:

  • First, you will sit a Placement test to determine your English language ability level
  • Second, you will be registered to one of the English language support options provided by the English Language Center.
  • Third, upon successfully completing the assigned English courses, you will sit an international exam then graduate with internationally recognised language qualifications

Entry Requirement (Cambridge Placement Test)

All the new students applying to FUE take a placement test to determine their level of English proficiency. Based on test scores, students are placed in the right English course to ensure they get the most of their studies.

The placement test consists of three stages. The first stage is a writing task where students write a short essay, letter or an email about a familiar topic. The second stage is the on-line Cambridge English Placement Test (CEPT) and the final stage is a speaking task that is only required in case there is a discrepancy between the writing level and the online test level.

The on-line Cambridge University test is taken at the university. The test is an adaptive one, which means the questions you are shown are chosen according to the level of your answers to earlier questions. You have thirty minutes to do the test. There is no set number of questions for you to answer but you must answer enough questions for your English language level to be assessed. The on-line test begins with an assessment of reading skills and this is followed by various tasks to test your use of written English, followed by listening tasks.

Exit Requirement (IELTS – International English Language Testing System)

The IELTS certificate is an exit requirement for FUE graduates. FUE aims for its graduates to attain an internationally recognized certificate showing the level they have attained in English. The IELTS certificate is recognized around the world for immigration, study, and work purposes. It will be valid proof that FUE graduates can communicate in English in practical situations which will give them a good foundation to develop their career.

Computer Skills Placement Test (CSPT) is compulsory for all University applicants. Students are not allowed to register, or request the issuance of any documents indicating student acceptance into the University except after the student sits for the test and gets the result that determines his/her computer skills level.

Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration, Faculty of Economics & Political Science:

Applicants should pass 8 qualifying subjects

  • Five basics subjects, selected from economics, business studies, French, German, mathematics, sociology, psychology, consumer mathematics, accounting, statistics, chemistry, physics, geography, global studies, history, philosophy, logic, social studies, US government, and computer studies.
  • Any 2 additional subjects

General Required Documents

  • Original birth certificate
  • Copy of national ID (Egyptian students) or Passport
  • A photocopy of legal guardian’s national ID or passport
  • New 4 passport-size photos with white background
  • The original study sequence (certified by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for schools from outside Egypt) to prove at least 9 years of study from G1 to G9 or a general preparatory certificate approved by the educational administration.
  • Military form 2, 6 Gond (Egyptian males only)
  • Official university transcript and stamped course description (Transfer applicants only).

The University will not be held responsible for the registration of students with missing original documents submitted after the announced deadlines.

The Egyptian Secondary School Certificate

Entry Requirements:

Applicant should achieve the minimum percentages announced by the Council of private Universities and then the applicant should obtain the required percent determined by FUE admission office for the same year of admission according to the internal scoring system.

Required Documents:

Original Secondary school certificate(s). (Certified photocopies are not accepted)

Secondary Certificate from Arabian Countries

Entry Requirements:

A scientific Secondary Certificate is required for students willing to join the following faculties:

  • Oral and Dental Medicine
  • Pharmacy
  • Engineering and Technology
  • Computers and Information Technology

A non-scientific Secondary Certificate is required for students willing to join the following faculties:

  • Commerce and Business Administration
  • Economics and Political Science

All Islamic subjects are not calculated during the evaluation of the final percentage.

Applicant should achieve the minimum percentages announced by the Council of private Universities and then the applicant should obtain the required percent determined by FUE admission office for the same year of admission according to the internal scoring system.

Required Documents:
  • Original Secondary School Certificate stamped by the Egyptian Embassy or Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Saudi Arabian Secondary Certificate must be presented with the General Abilities Test.
  • Yemenis Applicants must submit a proof of 12 years of schooling stamped by the school and certified by the Educational Zone the school belongs to.

IGCSE

Entry Requirements:
  • 8 (OL) subjects are required for all the faculties
    • For the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computers & IT: Math ASL or AL is required in addition to the 8 OL subjects، including Math Level.
  • Minimum grade for the (OL) subjects is "C" or “4”
  • Minimum grade for the (ASL or AL) is "D" or “4"
  • Accepted grades must be taken from all exam sessions studied during last 4 years as maximum.
  • IGCSE (OL) subjects obtained from Arab Countries should be of the (extended), not of the (core) system.
  • Physical Education, Military Sciences, General Science, Music, Classical Arabic, and Arabic as a Second Language are not accepted.
Required Documents:
  • IGSCE-Slips must be stamped and verified by the British Council in Cairo and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo plus stamped from General Administration for Examination (for Egyptian Schools) (please note that no other stamps can replace the British Council stamp)
  • For IGCSE Slips obtained from outside must be stamped from f the British Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Embassy in the country of certificate.
  • The original study sequence (certified by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for schools from outside Egypt) to prove at least 9 years of study from G1 to G9 or a general preparatory certificate approved by the educational administration.
  • Original results of Arabic/Religion examinations.

American Diploma

Entry Requirements:
  • 8 School subjects are required with at least 1 credit hour with an official transcript.
  • Subjects less than 1 credit are not accepted.
  • Subjects can be calculated from Grade 12, 11 or 10. Minimum number of subjects to be calculated from G12 is 4, maximum number of subjects from G11 is 4 and maximum number of subjects to be calculated from G10 is 2.
  • Students who spent (1, 2 or 3) academic years in the American Diploma system can apply to university in condition to meet all requirements needed to join the aimed faculty.1
  • PE, music and religion are not counted.
  • SAT I, A.C.T or E.S.T minimum Score is 800 and this score is considered as a passing grade and does not guarantee acceptance.
  • SAT 2, A.C.T 2 or E.S.T 2 minimum accepted score is 900 although its optional but is highly recommended for the student as it gives extra bonus for the student’s overall percentage.
  • SAT 2, A.C.T 2 or E.S.T 2 (math in addition to Biology - Chemistry - Physics Only) will be obligatory for the student willing to join the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computers Science & IT in case they didn’t study the Advanced Math in the school subjects in grades 10, 11 or 12(Please note that Languages as French and subjects like history are not accepted in SAT 2)
Required Documents:
  • Original G.P.A approved by the General Administration of Examinations, or by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry (for schools outside Egypt).
  • Letter of Private Education for Egyptian schools (a certified copy from the school).
  • Original:
    a) S.A.T. attested by AMIDEAST-Egypt & the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
    b) The A.C.T stamped by the General Administration of Examinations.
    c) E.S.T stamped by the General Administration of Examinations.
  • Student must provide the Admissions Department with user name and password for their account of the College Board.
  • Accreditation Letter from AMIDEAST-Egypt, for schools outside Egypt, certified by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • The original study sequence (certified by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for schools from outside Egypt) to prove at least 9 years of study from G1 to G9 or a general preparatory certificate approved by the educational administration.
  • Original results of Arabic/Religion examinations.

The International Baccalaureate. (IB)

Entry Requirements:
  • Achieving 6 subjects including 3 high level subjects.
  • Applicants must pass the English Language to get accepted.
  • The Minimum score is 24 out of 45.
  • The Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge are required but not counted as one of the 6 required subjects.
  • Applicants must submit both the final certificate and the final graduation IB Diploma to be considered for admissions.
  • Math (HL) & Physics (HL) are required for the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computers and IT.
  • Biology (HL) & Chemistry (HL) are required for the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy.
Required Documents:
  • Final IB Transcript and Graduation Diploma (should be in English) authorized by the authorities concerned in Switzerland – Genève, the Egyptian Embassy in Switzerland in addition to the stamp of General Administration for Examination in Egypt.
  • For certificates obtained from outside Egypt it must be stamped from the authorities concerned in Switzerland – Genève and the Egyptian Embassy in Switzerland.
  • The original study sequence (certified by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for schools from outside Egypt) to prove at least 9 years of study from G1 to G9 or a general preparatory certificate approved by the educational administration.
  • Original results of Arabic/Religion examinations.

Canadian High School Diploma

Entry Requirements:
  • Applicants should pass 8 subjects, in addition to Advanced Math if willing to study in the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computers and IT.
  • Applicants who studied all their courses in one or two year(s) only (grade 11 and /or 12) in the Canadian system will not be considered for admission.
  • Subjects are calculated from Grade 12 & 11 only. Minimum number of subjects to be calculated from G12 is 5.
  • Subjects less than one credit are not accepted.
Required Documents:
  • Original Final High School Transcript (GPA) attained from Egypt must be stamped by the General Administration for Examination in Egypt.
  • For certificates obtained from schools outside Egypt - stamp of Egyptian Embassy in Montreal-CANADA is required
  • The original study sequence (certified by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for schools from outside Egypt) to prove at least 9 years of study from G1 to G9 or a general preparatory certificate approved by the educational administration.
  • Original results of Arabic/Religion examinations.

Abitur Certificate

Entry Requirements:
  • Grade 12 must have been completed.
  • The official transcript must include seven subjects, one of which is English language, with a minimum score of 3
Required Documents:
  • Abitur-Certificate should be stamped by the school, the German Embassy and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in addition to the stamp of the General Administration for Examination in Egypt, Cairo.
  • Abitur Certificate should be translated into English or Arabic and stamped from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • The original study sequence (certified by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry for schools from outside Egypt) to prove at least 9 years of study from G1 to G9 or a general preparatory certificate approved by the educational administration.
  • Original results of Arabic/Religion examinations.

Nigerian Secondary Certificate

Entry Requirements:
  • Students willing to join the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Computers & IT must study the following obligatory subjects:
    • English
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Mathematics
    • Further Mathematics
  • Students willing to join the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy must study the following obligatory subjects:
    • English
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Mathematics
    • Biology
  • Students willing to join the faculty of Commerce & Business Administration and the Faculty of economics & Political Science must study the following subjects:
    • English (Obligatory)
    • Any other subjects from the following list: (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Biology/History/Economics/Computer/ Accounting/Geography / Hausa / ................)
Required Documents:
  • Original certificate certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.
  • Original Birth Certificate or a certified copy stamped by the Egyptian Embassy in the foreign country and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.
  • Students should provide the scratch card with the user name & password on WAEC DIRECT or NECO result to ensure on the student results.

All documents will be revised by council of higher education for final approval

Classification of Students

A student who has earned less than thirty credit hours of faculty credit is classified as a ‘freshman’. A student who has earned thirty or more credit hours is classified as a ‘sophomore’.

Academic System and Credit Hours

Future University adopts a flexible credit hour system. The credit hour system is an educational measuring unit used for determining each course weight. It is equivalent to one weekly educational theoretical hour or two lab hours.

Academic years in the University's faculties are divided into 8-10 semesters (4-5 years), depending on the chosen faculty. The semester load is between 12-21 credit hours. Students with high CGPA can register for up to 21 credit hours per semester. The maximum load for summer sessions is 9 credit hours.

  • Undergraduate students typically have an academic load ranging between 12 and 18 credit hours per semester.
  • Permission to exceed the maximum number of credit hours is subject to the student's previous academic record as well as the approval of the academic advisor and the Dean's.
  • The maximum load for the summer semester is nine credit hours.
  • Students must pass all pre-requisites before registering for a course.

Drop / Add Courses

With careful attention to University and faculty requirements, there should be minimal need for course changes after the registration period. At the beginning of each semester, the University offers only two weeks to drop or add courses. Student shall abide by the following rules:

  • Students are not allowed to drop or add any course without the approval of both the Dean and the academic advisor.
  • Students may not add any course after the drop/add period.
  • Students may withdraw from courses during the first ten weeks of the semester, provided the number of remaining registered hours is not less than the minimum required for an academic semester. Otherwise, the course remains on the transcript, and the student grade for the dropped course is recorded as an F.

Repeating a Course

If a student fails a university or faculty required course in any semester, the student shall repeat this course. However, if the student fails an elective course, he or she may repeat the same course or register in another elective course with the approval of the academic advisor.

If the student succeeds in a repeated course, the F grade remains on their academic record, but the higher grade is the one calculated in the student's grade point average.

Class Attendance: The attendance of lectures, tutorials and instructions in laboratories is an essential requirement of a student's education at the University. The interaction between students and faculty or staff in the classroom is essential.

  • A student who fails to attend at least 75 percent of all lectures and tutorials in a given course is not permitted to take the final exam and will receive an F.
  • A student who does not attend a mid-term exam, without an excuse acceptable to the course’s instructor shall not be allowed to sit for a make-up exam.

Incomplete Courses

In exceptional cases, the student may not be able to complete work in a given course. In these cases, the student should submit a form that includes the following information:

  • Reasons for not completing the work
  • The material that is missing
  • Action required to complete the course

The student will receive an "I" in that semester. In addition, arrangements with the instructor must be made to complete the course within one month after the beginning of the new academic session. Otherwise, the student will receive an "F" grade in that course.

Probation and Warning

Students who fail to maintain a grade point average of 2.0 will be placed on probation. In this case, a letter is sent to the student's home address explaining what is required to avoid dismissal from the University. The probation period of no more than two regular semesters provides the student the opportunity to improve the GPA. A student on probation must limit the academic load to twelve credit hours. The student who fails to achieve the required standard by the end of the probation period will be dismissed from the University.

A student placed on scholastic probation is ineligible to be a candidate for an elected or appointed office of a University-sponsored activity or social organization. This restriction does not apply if participation in the activity or organization is part of the requirements of a course. The student may be required to forfeit any University scholarships and may be ineligible to represent the University in an activity.

Transfer between Faculties

Students may not apply to transfer from one faculty to another if they have less than a 3.00 CGPA.

Semester Withdrawal

A student is entitled to withdraw from an academic semester within the withdrawal period, as announced in the academic calendar for the applicable semester.

The student will be considered to have failed if he or she withdraws after the withdrawal period unless the student has a valid reason acceptable to both the advisor and the Dean.

Academic Transcripts

An official transcript of university credits, bearing the University seal and the signature of the President of the University, is a record of the student’s academic record. A student may obtain copies of his or her transcript by a written, faxed, or personal request to the Admissions Office on the University’s campus. The request must include the student's full legal name, dates of attendance, National ID number, and a legible signature. All admission information must be on file, and all holds must be cleared before an official transcript will be released.

Transfers from Other Universities

  • Transfer students must fulfill Future University's admission requirements, including having attained the High School Certificate with a score complying with the regulations of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Private Universities for the year during which the certificate was obtained.
  • Students must submit official transcripts of completed courses, with detailed course descriptions, taken at an accredited university and including verification of the credit hours and grades achieved.
  • Upon final acceptance into the University, students will be requested to submit a letter from their previous university confirming their withdrawal.
  • Courses from which a student wishes to transfer, must have been substantially the same in both content and quality as the University course to which he or she is transferring. The transfer is subject to the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Transferring from one FUE Faculty to Another

  • Transfer from any FUE faculty to another is available only within the first two weeks of the semester during the Add/Drop period.
  • Students who wish to transfer from one faculty to another must obtain the approval of both the dean and the academic advisor.
  • The student’s score should be compatible with the score required by the faculty he or she wants to join.

Applicants are eligible for a variety of scholarships according to their academic, sporting, and other achievements in acompliance with University terms and conditions. Official documents must be submitted.

  • An applicant who qualifies for more than one scholarship will be awarded whichever scholarship is the higher.
  • Students must retain a full time status during an academic year in order to maintain eligibility for the scholarship. If a student fails any course or receives a punitive or legal detention, he or she will lose the scholarship.

New Students’ Academic Achievement Scholarship

Acceptable applicants who achieve top grades in their Secondary or High School Certificate will be granted scholarships.

Siblings Scholarships

The university offers a 15 percent reduction in tuition fees as a sibling scholarship.

Partner School Scholarship

Accepted applicants from partner schools will be granted scholarships for the duration of their degree programs (4-5 years) as long as they maintain a GPA of 3.7. Please contact the Student Affairs Department for more information about secondary and or high schools that have been designated as partner schools.

Sports Achievement Scholarship

FUE offers scholarships for students who have won an international, African, or local sports competition. Eligible students must submit the championship certificate, authenticated by the Supreme Council of Sports, to the Student Affairs Department.

The late Dr. Hassan Azazy, University Founder's Scholarship

FUE offers five full-tuition scholarships per year to the top ten students in the Thanawiya Amma. They will retain their scholarships under the category of Academic Achievement Scholarships, as long as their academic performance is acceptable.

Tuition fees are annual fees divided into two installments and each should be paid before the beginning of each semester.

Tuition fees for Bachelor’s degree courses for non-Egyptian students are paid in US dollars.

A student, who fails to make full payment for his or her balance by the final payment due date, will be prohibited from registering for classes until the balance is paid in full.

Regular Admission

All accepted applicants must pay the first installment of the tuition fee by the announced dates. Otherwise, a place cannot be guaranteed for accepted applicants.

Methods of Payment

  • Students must obtain the payment order from the Student Affairs Office.
  • Students should proceed to the Commercial International Bank (CIB) branch in the Administrative Building on Campus (or any other CIB branch) to make payment.
  • Students who pay at a CIB branch, outside the university campus, must submit the bank slip to the University Financial Office before the deadline.
  • Only certified checks or bank drafts are accepted for payment.
  • Transfer students must cover any service charges connected to the bank transfer. The student's full name, student's number, faculty, and “Attention Students Financial Office” MUST be written clearly on the copy that is sent.
  • Students who pay through bank transfer MUST send a copy of the Swift to the Student's Financial Office.

Refund Policy

In case of a student withdrawing from the university, the following percentages will be deducted from the refund:

  • Before the beginning of the semester – 10% of Tuition Fees
  • During the first month of classes – 50% of Tuition Fees
  • No Refund after the first month of the semester

Note: Tuition fees are not transferable from one semester to the other.
In the event that the transfer procedures from the university to another university are not carried out or the withdrawal is made within the specified dates, the prescribed fees are imposed on the student in accordance with the above-mentioned rules established by the university and the Ministry of Higher Education.
